|
Plasma TV screens -- got to love them. They're getting so thin these days that you can hang them almost anywhere, and that's exactly what people are doing.
In fact, some are even putting plasma TVs in their motor homes. I'm inside a brand new recreational vehicle and this one is packed with so many new gadgets, you can definitely take your home technology with you on the road.

|
When Gilbert Groff got ready to take the family camping, the 39-year-old Derry Twp. man went shopping -- for an RV.
That's right, he's 39 and he bought an RV.
The Groff family, with four kids and a new 29-foot Jamboree motor home, is the new face of the RV crowd. Those big, rumbling recreational vehicles aren't just for the senior set anymore. Groff's age group owns more RVs than any other.
In fact, baby boomers, ages 35 to 54, have more RVs parked in their driveways than the AARP's entire membership owns. They're the fastest-growing segment of a red hot market...

They want something lightweight and easy to tow, that gives them a blend of RVing with the atmosphere of the outdoors and basic tent camping, where the same sights and smells exist. It’s not as sterile as in a big diesel. More...

High-tech Sensors: Reducing Backup Accidents
|

According to a joint study by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Department of Transportation, there were approximately 182,000 police-reported backing accidents in 1990, with 185 fatalities.
According to the study, the majority occurred because the driver could not see the obstacle, a fact which indicates that many of these accidents are preventable.
If there was technology that could alert you in advance of a rear collision, wouldn't it be worth its cost if it prevented even one accident or injury?
That technology does exist, and it's available...
