I have a used Engine Control Unit DME for 540i E39 Chasis ENG M62. This unit is in good working condition. This is also the same unit in the 99 740i too.

These units cost about $1100 for remanufactured units plus $50 core charge, save big money on a used unit. These units have to be reprogrammed for your car, they are not plug n play.
