Reminds you shortly after a turn or lane change so you don't get to the next intersection with a false signal, where someone waiting to turn may pull right out in front of you! If you remember to shut it off you never hear the alarm.
Why is this so important, people seem to wait tell you come right up on an intersection to pull out when they see your turn signal, to race you through the turn or just turn to get on there way, Big surprise if your not turning and you forgot to shut off your signal from a previous turn. I was almost killed because of this on a motorcycle a few years ago and decided their is a big need for this. Especially on motorcycle and older cars because they don't shut off on their own. This works great and better than any factory reminder or for auto canceling signals, that don't always work!
