This 1985 Ferrari 308 GTS QV is in excellent condition and has only 45,000 original miles. Sold new in California, it was then sold to Colorado, to Alabama, and now finally to Georgia in 2004 making four total owners in the car's life. It has a 100% accident free history with both a clean Carfax and Autocheck. All major servicing was recently performed such as the timing belt service, water pump rebuild, and new accessory drive belts. The DOHC 3.0L V8 in the car runs like new and emits a wonderful exhaust note that is unmistakably Ferrari. This particular 308 GTS has had a few subtle modifications that were done by the current owner to suite his tastes. The first thing you'll notice is the European short-strut style bumpers that give the car a sleeker, faster Euro look. You'll recall that Ferrari had to equip the U.S. Imported 308's with larger bumpers than the European models to meet the Federal Safety Standards of the time. Then there's also the wheels which have been professionally finished in gold paint to mimic the look of the Ferrari F1 cars of the era. Also worth mentioning is that those wheels are wrapped in brand new Goodyear Eagle F1 tires that grip the road firmly. Inside the car the shift gate, pedals, and knob have been upgraded (have originals), and a Pioneer CD player has been added as well. The interior of this car is in excellent condition and shows very little wear. The engine compartment is very clean and by unzipping the rear storage compartment you will even still find the original tool kit and targa top cover. These cars don't just look fast, they are fast, even by today's standards. The 308 QV is the pinnacle of the 308 evolution that began in 1977. Pininfarina may have designed these cars but we all know that Tom Selleck as Magnum P.I . made them one of the most iconic cars to come out of the 1980's and also solidified their place in automotive history forever. For this reason the 308's are destined to hold their value going forward and have probably gotten about as cheap as we're going to see them. They're already a relative bargain considering the prices that other Ferrari models both before and since bring in the collector market. This is a great example of a clean 1985 308 GTS QV and when you really get down to it these cars just look best in Red over Tan like this one. And with maintenance being so ever important on these cars we can tell you this one has always received the best of care.
