Description:
1978 Ferrari 308 GTS. This 308 GTS is a 1978 model with less than 50,000 original miles on the odometer. Overall, the car is in __high good__ to __excellent__ condition with documented service history going back to the original owner. Items of interest offered with the car:-Original tool kit is complete. -Original __Dealer Locater Book__ as was the case in 1979.-KN individual air boxes have been installed on the carburetors. The Original air box is in order and with the car.-Ferrari felt/cotton 308 car cover.Points of interest:-The car has Mobile 1 full synthetic oil and this has been used at every change since owned by the second owner. I believe Shell as recommended by Ferrari was used up until that time.-The most recent full service will be completed as of 15 April 2008. V Belts, timing belts, timing belt tension bearings, water pump, coolant, plugs/wires, and oil and filter are primary items included in service.-Ferrari of San Francisco was the primary service provider until the previous owner. Previous owner and current owner have had service provided by non-dealer Italian car specialist - Port City Foreign Car and Daniel Baggett in Mobile, Alabama. -Tires are original size, Michelin, and were purchased from Coker Tire to ensure correctness of tire. -AC was vacuumed out in order to change to R-134, but this was not completed. AC system will blow cold if recharged with R-12, or conversion to R-134 carried out and completed.-Car has been driven to car shows and on week end club outings therefore there are the usual minor road dings on the lower front dam.-There is a small discoloration in the right front turn signal cover due to Ferrari of San Francisco placing an incorrect voltage bulb in the socket. -The paint was re-sprayed by Ferrari of San Francisco at a previous owners request and is greater than 10 years old.-The buttress areas have small paint cracks at the body joins as these cars tend to get over time. They will not show in a photo and are hard to see when waxed and buffed in person. -The tie rod ends are showing age, but are not a problem.-There is no rust on the car. The battery box area and the wheel inside arches (most notable rust prone areas) have been properly cleaned through the cars life. Karl Weber 205-281-3537 68365@ads.ClassyAuto.com
