One Of The Best Auto Museums In the U.S.
|
The Gilmore-Classic Car Club of America Museum was founded in 1966 by Donald S. Gilmore - a local antique car collector and philanthropist. The Museum has over 140 antique, classic and collector cars on display providing visitors a unique experience in automotive history. These cars are very interesting, top line and special. The exhibits are housed in nine large historic Michigan barns and feature such unusual vintage vehicles as a 1899 Locomobile and early steam, electric and gasoline powered cars. In addition to collectible rare and recent automobiles, visitors can experience things such as a double-decker London bus that tours the grounds during car shows and special weekends.
