Description:
Flathead V-8 Fordomatic. Some old Ford guys have told me this is a very good number 3 car and is very rare. In the 'Investor's Guide To American Convertible & Special Interest Automobiles ', author Charles Webb says that as of 1979 only 64 of these newly styled Fords were left. I have searched the web & other places extensively and have found only 7 1952's. So when you own one of these rare & historical beauties, you may be the only one in your state or region who does. Elec. top goes up/down easily. Top & boot in great shape. Car was painted black about 20 years ago & has some chips and dings. Black isn't the best color to show off the sporty body lines of this car. Pearl white with a tan canvas top would really look 'Wow!'. Maybe the top could be a British racing Green, too. No rust on the body. No bondo that I know of or could find. Front grill piece has visible surface rust. Minor rust spots on front bumper. Front floor pans have been replaced. Car drives great. Some recent engine & other work done. Glass in great shape. Have hood ornament & fender skirts. Dash is in great shape. Ford called the dash a 'flowing Flight-Style Control Panel, with easy-on-the-eyes instrument cluster'. All guages work. Clock works. Radio is there but needs some tubes. You could part the car out for more than the asking price. The stainless & chrome alone if you had to replace is about the asking price. While the engine runs strong, you could put a newer & bigger one in. One of the '52's I saw had an Old's 455 V-8 & trans in it. They were asking $57,750 for it. The interior upholstery kit runs about $2700 if you wanted to replace it with original look & design. The current interior in is good shape. It has one tear on the driver' seat. Drive it daily or restore as a show car. Make offer.
