Description:
1971 Chevrolet Suburban Utility
This outstanding 3 Door Burb looks like it, and drives like it. Here is a big bodied Suburban that has been driven only about 74,000 miles in its 37 years of service. Not only does this 8 passenger cruiser run like a cheetah, but you won___t find any serious wear or tear on any part of this low and luxurious vehicle. Shiny navy blue paint is a sedate and rich color for this ride, and like the paint, the chrome and stainless trim are in top condition. This vehicle is very functional and will get the attention of anyone who appreciates a cool ride.
This Suburban is as rugged as it is attractive. This bus has so much cargo space it makes the so-called ___SUV___ of today sadly short by comparison. The Burb has a 396 CID big block motor with about 8000 miles since the transplant. An aluminum intake manifold, Holley dual feed carburetor, and tubular exhaust headers on this 350 horsepower motor make this hot rod SUV more than capable to do any job. It is lowered 3 inches, has a TH400 transmission, sports dual exhausts with Flowmaster mufflers, and has wide rally wheels, deeply tinted glass, top grain leather seats (including the removable third seat), dual zone air conditioning, center console, AM/FM/CD sound system, and a custom tubular grille. The brakes, shocks and tires are new. Hidden behind the rear license plate is a Class A trailer hitch so you can tow a travel trailer, ATV or motorcycle trailer along for even more fun in Nature___s Wonderland. Utility, versatility, dependability, durability, economy, luxury, and serenity ___ all these blend together in this vintage SUV. This rust free California native has it all.
Did we say it has gobs of cargo space? It is huge - and clean and neat. Owned by the founder of one of the top selling vehicle polish products, the TLC given this Suburban is obvious. It is bound to be the pride and joy of anyone who appreciates a unique blend of enduring practicality and timeless beauty. The dove gray leather seats are in excellent condition ___ no tears, stains, rips, split seams, or flaws anywhere. The side panels, door panels, and rear cargo area are similarly unblemished. The dash and console are in near perfect condition, and all the instrumentation works. This SUV runs and drives very well and power steering and brakes ensure adequate handling under all conditions.
Comparing this classic Suburban to a used late model SUV is like trying to compare a Stradivarius violin to fiddle. If you are a hunter, fisherman, outdoors enthusiast, or just someone looking for a utility vehicle that will haul the kids and all their gear to football, hockey or soccer games ___ it would be difficult to find a better all around classic vehicle.
Here is the sad news about this rig: The Navy officer who owns it just bought the truck, had it shipped from California, and no sooner had the ink dried on the new title than he was given orders to deploy overseas for an indeterminate amount of time. The Suburban can___t go with him, so it has to go to someone else. This is a chance for someone to get an incredible custom vehicle at a very, very attractive price.
