Description:
Convertible - Very Good Condition. Full Financing Available! Convertible: the ultimate luxury cruiser! ONLY 89,000 ORIGINAL MILES (that's less than 3,000 actual miles driven per year since this bad boy rolled off the Mo-Town assembly line). Enjoy the great outdoors... smilin', stylin' and profilin' all the way to the beach, lakeshore or countryside with the top down in this awesome embodiment of one of Detroit's most iconic symbols of panache, comfort and head-turning style. This classic luxury land yacht is ready to hit the road with a powerful yet remarkably economical 350 C.I.D./165 HP 4-bbl V8, power brakes, steering, windows, ragtop, and remote trunk release; room for SIX full grown adults (including three or four fat guys) with 40/60 split front bench seat with fold down armrest and six-way power adjustments; seamlessly smooth, fully operational cruise control, dual remote control side view mirrors and tilt steering wheel. Interior is in nearly flawless condition. Retrofitted A/C; all windows and top operate well. Tires have at least 80 tread life. Brand new transmission, motor and tranny mounts, gas tank and rebuilt carburetor ensure that you can drive home anywhere from the Yukon to Tierra Del Fuego, from Newfoundland to the Baja. Both door hinge sets have been replaced so that the doors glide open and close, as if they just left the dealership. Mechanically, this ride is nearly perfect. Can easily be used as a daily driver, or.... turn the key, assume the classic gangsta' lean on your plushly padded, foot-wide arm rest and cruise down the Big City Boulevard on a clear, cool Saturday night in early Spring; ramble from coast-to-coast across I-10, gliding from Jacksonville to San Diego-- at a steady, silky smooth 70 mph (you'll get 15 mpg using the cruise control); take along that special friend to watch the summer sky's endless array of twinkling stars as they light the inky darkness of a balmy July night; or, fulfill every car buff's lifelong dream: slather on the SPF45 UV blocker and feel the wind waft through your hair (if there are any follicles left.... if not, then at least you've got the SPF 45) as you cruise in classic comfort from the shadows of the Sears Tower in Chi-town to the Golden Gate on legendary Route 66. Minor condition issues: White Top is water tight (no rips, split seams nor tears) with real glass rear window, goes up and down readily, but original canvas shows its age. In order to evoke the proper head-turning effect, the canvas should replaced, sooner rather than later. Paint is also somewhat timeworn, and there is a fist-sized dent on the passenger fender that has been poorly painted over. Power antenna and original in-dash clock are not operational. A NEW PINPOINT WHITE CANVAS CONVERTIBLE TOP AND POWER ANTENNA ARE INCLUDED with the sale of this car, along with the custom-fit water-resistant car cover and color-coordinated soft boot. With some very minor body work and a decent new paint job, this timeless automotive work-of-art will be ready to win some best-of-show trophies. This magnificent vintage vehicle was bought from an estate sale in rural Indiana, where it led a very well-cared for and sheltered existence for the first 30 years of its life. It now resides in sunny central Florida (ORLANDO AREA), where it spends most of its time under its custom-fit cover in my garage. It's in great overall shape and promises to provide many, many years of blissful cruisin' enjoyment for any astute long-term investor and/or automotive enthusiast who appreciates a truly classic full-sized American-made ragtop.
