Description:
NOW, in all her glory, we offer this 1962 Jaguar Series I roadster, and 2003 Concours d' Elegance Invitational award winner, for your investment consideration. Restoration of this classic was completed in early 2003 - just in time to be inspected and invited to be 1 of 250 cars participating in that year's invitational.
Just 1700 miles have been added to the speedometer since restoration. Every inch of this classic shows as though the restoration was finished yesterday - just look at the engine bay and undercarriage. Then feast you eyes on any other spec of this gorgeous Jag.
This Jag is totally correct. The 3.8 Liter 220 HP I-6 engine, manual 4-speed and complete drivetrain are original, completely rebuilt, and better than new. The undercarriage is perfect. The suspension, lines, brakes, exhaust, wire wheels and Dunlop P205 70R15 are new.
The body is laser straight. Infrared scanning of the entire car reveals 13-18 mils of coating and excellent metal content, the lead seams are correctly in place. The gaskets, door, bonnet and boot seals and glass are new. The chrome has been totally refinished except for the two door handles. Close-up these do show some wear but few would notice they weren't absolutely fresh.
The interior is gorgeous. Literally everything is new and every gauge, accessory and component works as new -
even the telescoping steering wheel. Chrome and stainless surrounds are mint. The top is correct and new.
