Description:
AMX Rap Sheet
For my 1972 Javelin AMX that has been fully customized from stock, which has also been converted in appearance to look like a 1971 Javelin AMX.
Owner since May 1974 and re-creator of this vehicle.
Total miles: 44,000 but only on the engine. The rest of the vehicle has many new parts and additions
As another part of this offer I am also presently in the process of doing a complete restoration of the under body to include a resealing and painting of the engine and the entire exhaust system. The gaskets that I will be replacing will include the following: Intake manifold, water pump, timing chain, valve covers, head gaskets, valve seals if they need it, front engine seal, headers to include the entire hooker chrome side mount exhaust system, thermostat, and all steal braided hose fittings. Upon reassembly a fresh valve adjustment will also be performed along with the valve timing. This will probably be a three week project from this last posted date.
This vehicle has been many years in the making and is in fact my first car. As you can see I have been the principle owner of this car for thirty-five years and we have both evolved together to become what we are today. Through this car I have come to master automotives, custom design, and body and custom (candy) paint. As a result, this car has become my dream machine of which I now have to part very regrettably because of circumstances beyond my control.
Originally this car had a stock 360 cubic inch engine with a 727 torque flight automatic transmission. The rear end had a stock 315 twin grip application with a stock leaf spring suspension. The exhaust system was a stock dual exhaust with twin glass packs. The body came stock with front and rear fiber glass spoilers and a fiber glass raised hood with a fully functional cowl induction ventilation system. The hard top also has the very rare T-top lines preformed into it with the small flip spoiler finish at the top of the rear windshield.
