Description:
Unique Vehicle, over 19 feet long 5000 lbs of classic American Beauty and still gets 18MPG! I bought this 2 years ago with 15,000 mi and drove it as a daily driver for 2 years and it now has just over 22,000 mi. It has a 3-way tailgate, swing open or fold down and fold down facing 3rd row seating for a total of up to 10 passengers. Middle seat also folds down for hauling big loads.
It has a 351 CI Cleveland eng and 3- speed automatic transmission. New or re-built in the last 2-4 years- Transmission, Radiator, water pump, hoses, belts, gas tank, battery, brakes, shocks, Engine runs great with most factory labels and marks still intact.
This car was originally owned by a Goodyear employee for his wife, the wife died in 1979 and the car was kept in storage for 20 years before the 2nd owner bought with 6000 mi and restored it adding the dual exh, dark tint glass, 17'-custom rims and Goodyear eagle GTs. I am the 4th owner and put more miles on in it in 2 years than anyone had before.
The car is in great running shape and looks good, I get a lot of thumbs up and waves when driving along.
There are a few things that are needed to make this car perfect, it is 99% rust free and was undercoated when new but has a couple of spots under the doors that I have painted or welded. There are some chips on the front. The retractable headlight vacume moters work but need to be re-built and have been locked open. About 2% of the light wood surrond molding is peeling and I have a couple of leads on getting that repaired. The cruise control does not work and the right channel of the AM-FM radio also does not work. Other than that everything works including the AC. No leaks in any of the fluids. Air bags have been added to the rear and it is slightly raised in back. The Title is clear and the mileage is listed as 'beyond machanical limits' due to the death of the original owner- I am positive it is actual 23,000.
