Description:
I bought the car 7 years ago. Had 32,000 miles on it, but I believe it is more like 132,000. It now has 41,000. Car has the rally gauge package. Due to the low geared rear-end the speedometer reads off. Example doing 60, the speedometer reads 80. The odometer reads twice as many as it should. The car has basically been driven approximately 4500 miles. Runs good, does not burn oil, transmission (/w Shift kit) and front end are tight. Body work and paint showing its age. Refer to pictures. Frame is in good condition no scale rust or cracks. All gas lines are in good shape too. Rotors, calipers, pads, drums and some lines are NEW. What is not in the pictures is a hole in the drivers side foot well. It is about 12 inches long by 1.5 inches wide last I looked. The rest of the floorboards look solid. Car has t-top roof, both come out, but passenger side gearing has problems, it needs to be taken apart to unlatch it using a pair of vice grips.
Pictures show the body work and paint problems. The only gauge that is off is the fuel gauge.
Car needs tinkering here and there. But runs great, does not burn oil.
Car gets about 17-18 mpg as long as you are not flooring it.
Parts I have replaced:
Brand new carburetor (Not rebuilt)
Electric fuel pump (Has been replaced with mechanical pump as of 10-1-06)
Variable speed fan (Not elect)
Water pump
Rear wheel cylinders (both sides)
Headlights (New Adjusters /w high beam lights)
4 new tires (Formula GT) (Have been replaced with 4 new tires (Remington) 205/70R14)
Tuned up
New battery
Chrome SS1 Rally Rims.
New Lug nuts (Solid Chrome)
New Rotors (Both sides front)
New Drums (Both sides rear)
New Calipers (Both front)
New Pads (Front)
NEW BREAK LINES (APR 2008)
New Bearings (Both sides front /w seals)
New Brake pedal pad
New Grant Steering wheel
New Replacement Horns
Replaced front signal lights (both sides)
Marker lights have new bulbs.
Tail lights have new bulbs, and wiring (2 sockets were replaced).
New Ignition switch
All door locks, trunk locks replaced.
Automatic door locks now work
Top radiator hold down panel has been replaced.
All new light bulbs in rally gauges
4 NEW BALL JOINTS
4 NEW TIEROD ENDS, SLEAVES, IDLER ARM AND CENTER LINK THIS YEAR FOR INSPECTION
NEW WINDSHIELD
NEW DAUL EXAUST FROM THE HEADERS BACK INCLUDING CATALYTIC CONVERTERS AND MUFFLERS
FRONTEND ALIGNMENT DONE
REPLACED THE ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULE
THE COIL
CAP AND ROTOR
SPARKPLUGS AND WIRES
New rebuild alternator
Brand New fan clutch
oil pressure sending switch (oil gauge started working)
I HAVE MOST OF THE RECEIPTS FOR THE WORK DONE.
Have many other spare parts available.
Drive it as is, restore it or use it as parts.
